Which Direction Do You Actually Need?

  • PDF → Image, when you need: A single page to drop into a slide deck, a document preview thumbnail, an image to paste into a chat app that won't preview PDFs, or a page you need to edit as a picture rather than a document.
  • Image → PDF, when you need: A scanned form or a set of receipts combined into one shareable file, a photo-based portfolio or lookbook as a single document, or multiple screenshots bundled together instead of sent as separate attachments.

  • PDF → Image renders each page at 2x scale by default, giving a sharp result even if you zoom in afterward.
  • Image → PDF places each uploaded image on its own page, in the order they were added — reorder by removing and re-adding if needed.
  • Fit to Image page size makes each PDF page exactly match its source image's dimensions, instead of a fixed paper size like A4.
  • Converting a scanned, text-heavy PDF into images is useful for pulling a single page into a presentation slide or a chat message, where PDFs often don't preview cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this handle password-protected PDFs?

No — encrypted or password-protected PDFs can't be read by this tool. Remove the password first using a PDF editor, then convert.

How many pages/images can I convert at once?

There's no hard limit built into the tool, but since everything runs in your browser, very large PDFs or a huge number of high-resolution images will be limited by your device's available memory.

Will the PDF I build keep my images at full quality?

Yes — PNG images keep their transparency and are embedded losslessly; other formats are embedded as high-quality JPEG.

Can I control the order of pages in the PDF I'm building?

Images are placed in the order they were uploaded, one per page. To reorder, remove images from the list and re-add them in the order you want them to appear.

What resolution do the extracted images come out at?

Pages render at 2x scale relative to the PDF's native size by default, which keeps text and fine detail sharp even if the image is later zoomed in or printed at a larger size than the original page.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. Every PDF is rendered or built entirely in your browser using PDF.js and jsPDF.
