Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Terms & Conditions and a Privacy Policy?
Terms & Conditions (or Terms of Service) governs the rules for using your site or product — accounts, payments, prohibited behavior, liability. A Privacy Policy specifically covers what personal data you collect and how you handle it. Most sites need both, as separate documents.
Why does jurisdiction matter?
The governing-law clause determines which country's (or state's) laws apply if a legal dispute arises, and where it would be handled. Set it to wherever your business is legally based — Kravoy's own default is India, but you should use your own business's actual jurisdiction.
Should I choose arbitration or courts for dispute resolution?
Arbitration is typically faster and more private than court litigation but limits a user's ability to sue in open court or join a class action; courts are the traditional default. Many consumer-facing platforms use arbitration clauses, but the right choice depends on your business and is worth discussing with a lawyer.
Do I need this even if I don't sell anything?
Yes, generally — Terms & Conditions also cover acceptable use, intellectual property, and liability limitation, which matter even for a free content site or tool, not just for e-commerce.
