  • Many forms set a minimum as well as a maximum KB. A small 200×230 photo often comes out under 20 KB; the tool raises the quality, and if the form calls the size "preferred", enlarges it in the same shape until it fits.
  • For signatures, use a scan or clear photo on plain white paper with dark ink — this compresses much more efficiently under a tight KB limit than a photo of a screen or a colored background.

Where do the presets come from?

Why is there a minimum file size as well as a maximum?
