What Is Image Watermarking?

A watermark is a text or logo overlay stamped onto an image — usually semi- transparent — to mark ownership or discourage unauthorized reuse. When Watermarking Is Worth Doing

Yes — switch to "Logo / Image Watermark" mode and upload any image file. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.

Does the watermark permanently protect my image from copying?

A watermark discourages casual reuse and marks the image as yours, but a determined person can still crop or edit it out — it's a deterrent, not an unbreakable protection. For images where reuse would be a serious problem, watermark placement matters (center is harder to remove than a corner) and keeping your unwatermarked original private matters even more.

Can I remove the watermark later?

No — the watermark is drawn directly into the downloaded image's pixels, so keep your original, un-watermarked file if you might need it later.

What opacity should I actually use?

Somewhere around 40–60% is the common sweet spot — visible enough to read clearly, transparent enough not to obscure the photo underneath. Go higher only if deterring reuse matters more than the watermark looking subtle.

Can I watermark several photos with the same text or logo in one go?
