Merge Without Uploading Anything

Combining PDFs usually means uploading every file to some server, waiting, and hoping the file gets deleted afterward. This tool merges your files directly in your browser using a PDF library that runs client-side — your files are read, combined, and turned into a downloadable result without ever leaving your device, which matters for contracts, reports, or anything you wouldn't want sitting on a stranger's server.

How to Use This Tool

  1. 1Add PDFs and imagesChoose PDFs, plus JPG or PNG photos or scans if you want them as pages. Each file shows a preview and its page count.
  2. 2Reorder them if neededUse the up/down arrows on each file to set the exact order pages will appear in the final document.
  3. 3Pick pages if you need toType page numbers such as 1-3, 5 next to a file to include only those pages. Leave it empty for all pages.
  4. 4Merge and downloadName the file and merge. You see the total page count before you start and the final size afterwards.

Why Browser-Based Merging Actually Matters

  1. 1Your files never leave your deviceUnlike many online PDF mergers that upload your files to a server for processing, this tool combines them directly in your browser using a PDF library that runs entirely client-side — genuinely private for contracts, reports, or anything sensitive.
  2. 2No file size or file count upload limits from a serverSince there's no upload step, the only real limit is how much memory your own device and browser have available — useful for merging a large batch of files without worrying about a server-imposed cap.
  3. 3Pages and content are preserved exactlyNormal PDF pages are copied directly, so text, fonts and vector graphics stay sharp and searchable. Only locked PDFs, whose contents can't be copied, are added as page images, and those are labelled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No — the merge happens entirely in your browser using a client-side PDF library. Your files are read locally, combined locally, and the final merged PDF is generated and downloaded locally, with nothing transmitted anywhere.

Can I change the order the PDFs are merged in?

Yes — use the up and down arrows next to each file in the list to reorder them before merging. The final document follows exactly the order shown, top to bottom.

Does merging affect the quality or text of my PDFs?

No. Pages are copied directly from each PDF, keeping text, fonts, images and vector graphics exactly as they were. The only exception is locked PDFs, which are added as images and marked in the list.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There's no fixed limit — you can merge as many files as your browser has memory to handle. For a very large batch of large files, performance depends on your device's available memory.

Why did merging fail for one of my files?

The tool names the file it couldn't read. That usually means it is damaged or isn't really a PDF. Password-protected PDFs work: enter the password next to the file and its pages are added.

Can I merge a password-protected or locked PDF?

Yes. If a PDF needs a password to open, enter it next to the file. Locked PDFs (including ones that only restrict copying or printing, like many bank statements) are added as page images, so their text won't be selectable in the merged file. Your password never leaves your browser.

Can I add photos or scans as pages?

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP images are each placed on an A4 page (portrait or landscape to match the image), in the order you set.

Is this PDF merger free to use?

Yes, completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many times you use it.
