Frequently Asked Questions
What does "keep phrases together" actually do?
Normally, a word cloud treats every word independently — "climate" and "change" would appear as two separate, unrelated words even if "climate change" appears together throughout your text. Turning this on detects runs of 2-3 meaningful words used together and treats them as one unit, so a repeated phrase stays intact and readable in the cloud.
Why exclude a word manually if stopwords are already filtered?
Automatic stopword filtering catches generic words like "the" and "and," but it can't know that your own text repeats a specific name or brand so often that it would dominate the cloud and crowd out more interesting words. The custom exclude list handles exactly that case.
Which export format should I use?
PNG is the simplest choice for sharing online or in a document. SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, which matters if you'll resize it or print it large. PDF is convenient when you need a print-ready file directly.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No — all text processing and rendering happens locally in your browser. Nothing you paste here is sent to a server.
